Rising to the Challenge: Meet the Women at the Heart of Comcast Business’ Beltway Region, Part 2

As the pandemic continues to impact women and their plans for future jobs and opportunities, it also has represented a chance for businesses to look for ways to invest in and build more flexible workplaces and nurturing cultures.

At Comcast, our employees are at the heart of everything we do. As the needs of our workforce have continued to evolve, so has our support for our employees. This has included flexible work options and benefits ranging from additional paid time-off to care for family members to back-up childcare to professional counseling and more.

Meanwhile, our teams continue to adapt to new circumstances and rise above challenges. Last year, we kicked off a series of employee profiles to spotlight some of the incredible women who make up Comcast Business’ workforce. We featured Holli Lloyd and Dee Moyano, both of whom are mothers and leaders who helped their teams, and the businesses we serve, switch gears and exceed expectations.

This month we are highlighting two more women from Maryland who exemplify the dedication and hard work of our employees.

Angela Lee, Senior Director of Finance, Nottingham, MD
Angela joined Comcast Business in September 2006 as a financial analyst in our Keystone Region where she spent two years prior to transferring to the Greater Boston Region and then moving to the Beltway Region. She believes that listening to colleagues and having a strong work ethic is the best way to achieve professional success and these are two principles that have guided her throughout her successful 15-year career at Comcast.

Angela is most proud, however, of supporting her team members to develop in their own careers, having helped two individuals advance from manager to director positions and another advance to senior manager from an analyst position. Angela’s peers describe her as “a results driven, flexible, team player” and her commitment to the development of team employees is a testament to that. Angela is also appreciative of the many great leaders at Comcast who have guided her through her own leadership journey, teaching her to remain resilient and adapt to the ever-changing environment.

While Angela draws inspiration from and leans on many mentors, one particular woman in her life has made a significant impact in getting her to where she is today. When asked who she admires most, Angela quickly acknowledges her mother. “She taught me the meaning of hard work – on the job and at home,” she says. Now a mom herself, Angela has learned that prioritization is key to success. “As a mother and an employee, you can’t be everywhere at the same time. And don’t forget to listen – it’s universally important,” she adds.

Tiffany Mondillo, Senior Manager, Baltimore, MD
Tiffany has been with Comcast since 2016 and has risen through the ranks to become a senior manager in the sales operations organization. Her biggest accomplishments with the company to date include working on highly visible projects within the Beltway Region and training teams on using a system that is part of a multi-year Comcast Business initiative dedicated to modernizing how the company offers its suite of products and services to business customers.

Today, Tiffany is as busy in her personal life as she is in her professional career. In her free time, she teaches workout classes, coaches youth sports teams and works with animal rescues. And she enjoys spending time with her husband and two stepchildren.

In the workplace, Tiffany prides herself on her can-do attitude and smile, and peers would agree that she’s one to roll up her sleeves and solve problems – no matter how difficult or involved. Tiffany has appreciated the support Comcast has provided her and the balance she has gained across her personal and professional lives. She adds, “Comcast has been absolutely amazing. The company is 100% employee-focused – listening to the field and giving employees avenues to get the things we may need, today and beyond.”

“I continue to have the luxury of a lot of facetime with my teams and peers. It has provided me the ability to be more hands-on and accomplish more than ever before.”

Angela and Tiffany are just two of the employees at the heart of Comcast Business in the Beltway Region. Stay tuned for more profiles featuring the exceptional women who make up our workforce at https://beltway.comcast.com/.
