We’re always working to infuse diversity and inclusion into everything we do at Comcast, whether that’s through our employee resource groups, our community impact, our team members or our products, and we’re excited to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month now and all year long in the Beltway Region.
For instance, we heard from Antonio Diaz, a Customer Experience Manager in Spring, MD, who “can’t help but feel proud” about how many different backgrounds he sees at all levels of the organization here a Comcast.
Antonio has been part of Comcast’s customer service team for a little over five years. In this role, he has interacted with many diverse groups of people, learning from them along the way, but always refers back to his first team who taught him “the world of Comcast” and has helped contribute to his success in his new role.
As a manager, Antonio has the opportunity to interact with many different individuals and appreciates the “emphasis and education placed around diversity and inclusion” here at Comcast. And, he makes sure to embody this in his role and ensure “we all are supportive of one another and that opportunities can be had by anyone.”
For Antonio, Hispanic Heritage Month is about showing how diverse Latinos are and how they all bring “key contributions to the betterment of our society” — something he keeps in mind when coaching his team.
