Happy 2019! As we head into the winter season, we’re keeping an extra close eye on the forecast.
We continuously monitor for potential issues and work to prepare our systems and teams ahead of a storm, to best serve our customers when the weather gets rough. This includes positioning equipment and personnel in strategic locations, so our field technicians can go out as quickly and safely as possible to bring back any services that may be down due to snow, freezing rain, extreme winds, flooding and other severe conditions.
Utilize Our Xfinity Apps
You can also prepare your devices to help you stay connected. Downloading these four Xfinity apps on your smartphone or tablet can help you keep in touch when it matters most.
What Happens if there are Commercial Power Outages?
If your power goes out, your local utility provider must restore power before our technicians can safely start work on restoring your Xfinity services. It is possible that power could return to your home, but damage to or loss of power to the Xfinity network serving your neighborhood may continue to affect your services. We are committed to getting you up and running as soon as possible.
Also, make sure to protect your devices. Plug your TV, modem and cable box into a surge protector to protect them from damage in case of lightning or a sudden power outage.
