Comcast to Participate in Annual National Night Out

Today, August 7, is the 35th annual National Night Out — a community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.

National Night Out presents a great opportunity to remind our local communities how our Xfinity products and services, especially Xfinity Home, can enhance the safety and security of our customer’s families and homes. Xfinity Home offers customers a total home security solution. Customers can access the Xfinity Home platform via an app or online portal, allowing them to stay connected to their home even when on the go – including ability to arm and disarm their system, create automated rules, access video to see when the kids got home, or turn on the lights and adjust the temperature before they walk through the door.

Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August. These neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and more.

This year, Comcast will participate in the local National Night Out event at Fort Meade, MD. Our National Night Out sponsorships continue to foster our relationships with neighbors and local law enforcement, while bringing back a true sense of community that aligns with our ongoing commitment to the military community and to improving the quality of life in the communities where our customers and employees live and work.
