Stay Connected During Summer Storms with Xfinity

Summer is here, and that means storm season is upon us. Weather conditions can be unpredictable as we’ve seen here in the Beltway Region with flooding and other damage from recent severe storms.  Xfinity wants to help you stay connected and make sure you’re ready for whatever Mother Nature throws your way.

One of the ways you can prepare is by downloading our Xfinity apps:

  • Xfinity My Account: Manage your account, check for outages, report service interruptions and troubleshoot your equipment from any device — mobile, computer and even right on your TV through Xfinity X1!  And, make sure your contact info is current in the app, so we can text and email you weather-related updates.
  • Xfinity Connect: Send and receive texts from your home telephone number, listen to your voicemail, access your Comcast.net email and more.
  • Xfinity Stream: Lost power? The Stream App keeps you in the know with weather updates. Plus, watch live TV and On Demand content from your computer or mobile device, as well as download shows and movies to watch offline.

Plus, with millions of Xfinity WiFi hotspots nationwide, you can stay online and up to date on important information when your power is out.

Also, make sure to protect your devices. Plug your TV, modem and cable box into a surge protector to protect them from damage in case of lightning or a sudden power outage.
