Comcast, NBC Sports Washington, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington and United Way of the National Capital Area Host Youth “Fair Play” Sports Clinic

On Monday, June 25, Comcast partnered with NBC Sports Washington, United Way of the National Capital Area and Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Washington Area to host a “Fair Play: Youth Sports in America” sports clinic for roughly 30 youth members at the FBR Clubhouse in Southeast D.C. The sports clinic highlighted the importance of staying fit and playing fair and supported Comcast’s overall corporate social responsibility strategy of inspiring positive and substantive change in communities through partnerships with local organizations that impact youth.

As part of the sports clinic, Club members got to hear from and join in a Q&A session with Redskins Alumnus Santana Moss and NBC Sports Washington talent Travis Thomas, as well as participate in a play activity to improve their abilities in a variety of skill sets pertaining to sports.  They also watched a portion of the NBC Sports “Fair Play: Youth Sports in America” documentary that will premiere on NBC Sports Washington on June 29, 2018 at 10 p.m.

Comcast and the United Way of the National Capital Area also presented the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington with a $50,000 grant.
