Comcast Opens Thousands of Xfinity WiFi Hotspots in Frederick County during Storm Recovery

Our thoughts are with all of those impacted by the storms and historic flooding that swept across Frederick County this past week. To help residents, businesses and emergency personnel cope with the aftermath, Comcast is opening its Xfinity WiFi hotspots in the hardest hit areas to anyone who needs them – including non-Xfinity customers.

The Xfinity WiFi hotspots will remain open from Friday, May 18 through Friday, May 25 across the entire county.

How to Access Xfinity WiFi Hotspots:

  • For a map, visit https://comca.st/2Gpp2Sn.
  • Once in range of a hotspot, select the “xfinitywifi” network name in the list of available hotspots and then launch a browser.
  • Xfinity Internet customers can sign in with their usernames and passwords, and will be automatically connected to Xfinity WiFi hotspots in the future.
  • Non-Xfinity Internet customers should visit the “Not an Xfinity Internet Customer” section on the sign-in page to get started. Non-customers will be able to renew their complimentary sessions every two hours through Friday, May 25, 2018.

We also encourage our Xfinity customers to download and use the Xfinity My Account app or online portal to stay-up-to-date on their services.
