Comcast’s Beltway Region Celebrates a Record-Breaking Comcast Cares Day!

On Saturday, April 21, more than 7,500 local Comcast NBCUniversal employees and their families, friends and community partners worked together to “make change happen” as they volunteered to improve communities across the Beltway Region as part of the 17th annual Comcast Cares Day. The more than 80 projects across Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and West Virginia included the beautification of schools and non-profits, sorting and serving food, landscaping community centers and parks, hosting local blood drives and more.

Comcast Cares Day, which takes place each April during National Volunteer Month, is Comcast NBCUniversal’s companywide celebration of its year-round commitment to service and the nation’s largest single-day corporate volunteer effort in the country.

Comcast has been committed to serving local communities since its founding more than 50 years ago. For more information on Comcast’s volunteer and community investment initiatives, visit here.
