Bird-watching Season is Back in the Beltway Region!

Spring means sunny days, light jackets and two of our favorite ‘bird cam’ livestreams. Comcast Business is once again providing the internet connection for another season of up-close and personal looks at peregrine falcons in Richmond, Virginia, and ospreys in Severna Park, Maryland.
Peregrine Falcons
In Richmond, we have partnered with the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR) for the sixth year in a row to support the Richmond Falcon Cam. This year, wildlife fans can enjoy new features such as audio and timelapse, giving viewers new and engaging opportunities to track the action. Viewers can follow the activities of a peregrine falcon pair that have once again returned to nest atop the 21st floor of the Riverfront Plaza building. View the falcon livestream here.
Ospreys
In Severna Park, we have teamed up with Mark and Heather Jeweler of the Loudoun Valley Raptor Center (formerly Maryland Raptor Conservation Center) to stream the osprey cam for the seventh year. The camera monitors a nest on top of a Baltimore Gas and Electric-constructed platform outside of Severna Park High School. To keep an eye on the osprey nest – which is once again home to “Oscar” and “Olivia” – view the osprey livestream here.
Be sure to flock to the feeds on a regular basis so you can catch memorable moments, such as the recent arrival of four new eggs in Richmond!
